Our Values

For us, it’s about more than just beautiful products. In our own atelier in the Netherlands, we create handmade items with inclusive craftsmen using sustainable materials. Each product is made with great care, attention, and a little bit of love to help protect our planet.

Transparancy

Sustainability is in our DNA. All our products are locally made from eco-friendly materials we've carefully selected. We believe it's important to be open and honest. We have therefore had the impact of all our products independently calculated by Emissa using a Life Cycle Analysis. You can find this impact on our materials page and visible by scanning the QR code on our products. In addition, we now have a Digital Product Passport (DPP) for 5 of our products!

Life Terra

CO₂ compensation

Our products are made locally in the Netherlands with GRS-certified recycled materials from Europe. With this, we have already significantly reduced the CO₂ emissions of our products. But like every production, we still emit CO₂. That is why we plant new trees back in the Netherlands via Life Terra. We do this not only to compensate for our emissions, but also because we find a green living environment and clean air important.

MADE out of

Sustainable materials

MADE Out Of stands for the special stories behind all our products. Because of our circular approach, we deal with raw materials and waste in a smarter way. By using organic, recycled and upcycled materials, new, unique products are created with a limited ecological footprint. For example, an old wool sweater becomes a new felt laptop cover and discarded paper is given a new function in our modular notebook.

Fairly produced

All our products are made with love in our own workshop, Makers Lokaal. This way, we can guarantee a local and socially responsible production process.

In our inclusive sewing studio, people with unique employment needs get the chance to be part of our team in a safe and supportive work environment—helping them regain new job opportunities and a fresh perspective on work!

From literally sketching in my attic room and reading up on all possible materials, to the first production. And now? Now we are a unique and sustainable brand, where a group of great makers are working with great pleasure. Together we make the world a little better, one handmade product at a time!
