How is it made?

Production process

SAM Panels Technology rescues and up-cycled cellulose waste fibers into new sustainable products. SAM high-performance panels replace polywood, MDF and particleboard. These SAM panels incorporate grass from Schiphol Airport. Unlike traditional wood composites, SAM panels contain no toxins and the material is fully recyclable. Finally, these bio-based panels are carved into unique ornament shapes by our Makers Local studio.

HOW TO USE WHEN CHRISTMAS IS OVER?

Multi-purpose

When the Christmas tree is taken down all the decoration goes back into storage, only to go unused for a whole year... Such a waste! See if you can use these special ornaments in other ways after Christmas. They can function very nicely as coasters or as a hanger in the car! This way you can enjoy them all year round.

The ornaments, made of re-used grass from the Schiphol site, are designed by Eco Concept Group. The design process involves local makers to achieve the best and most beautiful results. The baubles are laser cut by our local makers at Makers Lokaal. They transformed the Schiphol grass material into a unique and customized ornament.
